no telling what that thing sold for new back in the day.

Just for an older used one they seem to range from $400 - $1000..  And most of those on the low end of that range are strictly for alternators..   I hate to think what a new one is..   This one has a warning light when it detects electrical noise from ailing diodes (no more screwing with the O-scope under a car hood), and heck it's even old enough to test generators.. (Yes I see a fair amount of generators yet)..

For $100 and an hour's worth of driving I felt it well worth it..

You got it.. I think this one may have come from a Tractor dealer as it has International Harvester emblems on it...
