Yep, a 70 hp race car. I've had a lot of fun working on and driving this car for the past year, but I need something less labor-intensive for daily driving. I got this car from a friend; he got it from the guy who started reworking this car for the track. It has a rear roll cage, racing seats and harnesses (unknown brand), bilstein pss coilovers, wilwood brakes, enkei 16" wheels with newish yokohama s-drive tires, poly A-arm bushings, 3" exhaust with Borla muffler, gel-cell battery. When I got it, it had an unwired 2.0T in it, but I dropped in the SB 1.6td I had put in my Jetta a little while before. It has EGT, boost, volt, and oil pressure gauges. I put in a new Sony stereo head unit and old 12" sub, worked great for a little while but not currently working. Pump was rebuilt last year at a local Bosch-authorized shop.
The shell was originally red, but has been cheaply resprayed charcoal gray and has a few dings, dents, scratches. I'd take pictures now but it's dark out.
Good: lots of great parts, great start on a fun track project, working A/C with Freeze 12, most of the original black interior still looks good
bad: still needs work to be a really clean car
$3500 obo
pictures will be taken if anyone shows interest. Car is in Denton, TX.
Forgot to mention, windows, sunroof, and spoiler are all functional. Bought the dakota digital converter for the tach, but it's not working. Neither are the backlights for the fancy aftermarket gauge faces.
Still available? Pics please.
