Im told my GTD will probably have a blow off valve alongside the wastegate, Im not used to diesels having one, is this the correct unit?

If so please can someone explain how to take it out the equation so the wastegate is the only thing controlling boost, the pictures in the old thread are now broken links.
Thanks
After removing it from the engine im 99% sure it is the factory BOV because of the way it works, however Im not a little unsure how to go about blocking up the huge hole removing it creates, what methods have people used?
Ive removed the spring and replaced it with a solid bolt and nipped it back up, theres no way this old thing is going to be creeping open now, stuck it back on the engine and jobs a goodun.
Vendor section : Giles performance diesel sells a machined block off kit if you want.
I put a chunk of a broom handle in the hose connected to it, and then made sure the clamp was good and tight! I like the wine cork idea though...
you'd need an enormous wine cork...
he is talking about the hole it leaves behind in the intake. Giles had actual plugs machined. the ID of the hole is like 2.25 inches... its not a wine bottle size hole.
I however used to have a wine cork jammed in my intake snokel that it left behind there. But its better to melt something to it like a piece of hose or something similar. plastic works. but so does replacing the snorkel with some big ABS piping.
they are talking about leaving the BOV there, just sticking a wine cork in the outlet that feeds the air back to the turbo intake.
