Are Bosios worth it for a 1.6NA

Looking to replace the injectors or nozzles on my 1.6NA.  Is there any performance advantage (or advantage of any sort) to using Bosios over new stock Bosch or the other way around?

New Bosch injectors are $109 apiece.

Bosio nozzles $125 for a set of four.

Thoughts?

They'll be going into a 1.6NA that will have a Giles tuned pump.

The stock nozzles are supposed to be good up to about 200hp.
You'd be overspending heavy on an NA.

New Bosch nozzles are $10 each.
Reman'd Bosch Injectors are about $40

Giles can do your injectors also.

I've heard better spray pattern on bosios, but sounds like either way not worthwhile to go beyond stock for the na.

Sending injectors to giles sounds like a stellar idea.  Hadn't thought about that.  I have a good bosch specialist nearby, but since I'm shipping pump I might as well toss in the injectors.

I've heard people have the best luck with Monark nozzles for MB applications.  Made in Germany and claim better than OEM quality.  Check out http://www.mercedessource.com/taxonomy/term/126

Yes, do post a thread on that topic.  I've always thought about how cool this would be.  I'm sure you've already thought about how well that thing would crawl with all of that torque.

Yes.  My first thought was aaz, since I'm such a fan of vw diesel.  Had an acme adapter and toyota tranny, but it was just too costly to keep the 4wd, though it could have been done.  I've actually figured it out now, and there's a pretty straightforard solution, but I had already gone ahead with the mb and adapter and 700r4 tranny with tcase, and the whole thing came together so well that I never looked back.  Plus, nothing wrong with om617.  If the engine ever dies, which would take a lot, a thousand spares can be had for like $600 and there are mechanics and parts available on every street corner.
