Looking for 1.9t diesel
« on: July 16, 2010, 09:09:01 am »
Hello all! I have just bought an '82 vanagon that has a busted 1.6. So I am looking to upgrade to a 1.9t does any one have a 1.9 new/rebuilt/ in good shape they are looking to get rid of? Or perhaps someone can suggest a vendor who might be able to supply me with a 1.9t. Also, any advice would be great!!
Thanks for your time. hope to hear from you

I have a 1.9 TDI from a 98 Jetta, many people install them in Vanagons. Turbovans and Greaseworks in Oregon has info on them, I also have a complete 1.6 TD package from a European Vanagon at my friend's place in the SF Bay area. PM me if you're interested in any of this stuff.

thanks

Scott

I can't ship. If I go out there again I may be able to drop it off on my way back to Maine. It's the bars, the mounts and brackets, turbo manifolds bunch of other stuff I can't even remember. I think it's everything you need to install a TD engine in a vanagon except the engine, turbo and IP.
