This is my deal. I like the smoked cross hairs from this site
http://www.autostyle.co.za/prodlist.php?cid=GolfMk2&pg=1&showall=1
and definately want to do rounds over the stock. But I need this core support from here
http://www.concept1.ca/Grills%20MK2.htm
They have grills too. I just want to do the smoked cross hairs, with the grill that already has the filler strip, but don't know which will be the best fit and or the cheapest with shipping.
My stock lights are going to do for a while if I can help it. They just will have to be adjusted with cable ties and duct tape until I can get these guys

I don't know the answer either, but I need to do something about mine before I run off the road in the dark.
I have an extra US stock (aero) core support to play around with and I probably have some 7" round headlight buckets off something or other I can use. I think I should be able to drop the buckets into the core support and just buy a round light grille...just thinking out loud...

If you can weld and cut I'm pretty sure you can make the aero grill work.
If you browse the vortex classifieds you should be able to find a used setup.

I can definately weld and cut
I just read through 53wiley's gli build and he can weld and do stuff as well and he said it was a pain in the rear. I don't have the grill to mess around, but I suppose like the rest of my build I can do anything if I have 3 years to work on it. I was just hoping that someone had ordered the south african stuff and knew what shipping would be. I liked the door handles they had too. I am sure the Canadian shipping would be bad too...I don't get out much at night so I might not need this for a while. The stock ones zip tied might be good enough

Well I really liked the 4 rounds but more money and more wiring. How bad was shipping on those? I kinda like the smoked cross hairs better, but either looks better than what I have.
