I have several Porsche's and a couple of late model Maserati's at work with quite a lot of umph and not especially large air filters.  The F430 I park my Caddy next to probly has a smaller filter.
I am not an air-filter-ologist nor do I ever aspire to be, these are just observations.
Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become ignorant.

no, just bringing up the fact that lots of people think K&Ns are bad for your car just because the oil takes out the mass air sensor. usually they work great when you first install them. then when they get dirty, they need to be cleaned. and then they get cleaned and get way too much oil put back on. then the mass air sensor gives you the finger.
exactly mate
they just need a quick mist over not drowning in the stuff  ;)

dont they already use the BIG PANEL from VW? the one that is like 2 inches thick? i would think the air box would improve flow more than a panel filter in a restricted air box..

91% efficient filtration of particles>5 micron.
Wow, thats EXTREMELY poor filtration! Even low-end crap paper filters are in the 99.0-99.6% range.
