same thing i was thinking. just got some VW centers. might be home made. or not. but they certainly look like MB wheels. take one off and flip it over and see what markings it has? i bet its not a VW wheel.

I agree with these guys.
Look too much like a MBenz wheel - not to be MBenz.
The 13" part seems small for a MB - but i've never kept up with them.
..and it looks like your neighbors might have been shooting bottlerockets at your truck

I removed a wheel and looked for anything that might be helpful. Here is a couple of pics of all I found.
On the inside there is the number 84

This is on the outside of the rim. I assume this is rim size.

Question stands: for what Benz would have a 4-bolt 13 inch have been standard? A mid-sixites gas sedan?
I don't recall ever seeing.

That looks like a date tell tale, year is the 84, month would be one of those 12 petals, so 1984 is when, as to what or where,

no idea. Nice wheels though.

Start of Threadjack

Amazing! Whoever fitted the tyres actualy knows what the yellow ring means!!! You actually still have professionals working on cars? We just have gormless mouth breathers who shouldn't be let loose on a wheelbarrow, let alone cars.
Car Bibles does a great guide on in ins and outs of car tyre.

Yeah, sure look like the "bundt cake" wheels I have on my MBs, but I can't think of any 4 x100 cars they produced in the 80s. Perhaps the foundry did a Swiss Navy job for someone?

They could have been redrilled and repainted, but looking at the inside, it looks this isn't the case. They were made 4x100. A replica maybe?

certainly look like the old MB rims- maybe manufactured by the same company ,I've had some mercs going back to the 50's and all where 5 lug , the only MB that I can think of that might have used 4 lug would be the old 170? aircooled ,but the above wheels as said are dated mid 84 strange that there's no makers name on them ,
