takes a couple of cranks to start??
« on: July 02, 2010, 06:00:02 am »
could cranks be an indication of IP timing???

i crank it turns over 4-5 times then i let off then i turn key again and on the first to second turn over fires right up??
its warmer so i leave cold start left in but if i pull out does same thing?

just curious if it a sign of to much advance or retarding

help is greatly appriciated!!!!

Cheers

If the timing cold start lever has no effect it is probably not a timing issue.

Does it cough or smoke while cranking?
