Recently my engine has starting at idle (about 1000rmp) and mignt surge 150rmp for a second or so. It does this a couple of times in a row then seems to idle smoothly, maybe a few rimp higher than normal. I can even hear my turbo pick up speed when this happens.
I am thinking it is a leaky or sticky injector? The engine has close too 400k km, all original save timing belt. I plan on pulling it after I get my 91 passat wagon w/AAZ on the road later this month, and keep it as a backup engine, just in case...
