It`s looks very Audi-ish from the rear corner view. The front seems a little too generic to me. Like it could be a Ford or Toyota or something. Overall it looks pretty nice though.

As a VW product advisor, I'm fully excited about this.
The only thing I'm NOT excited about is the remainder 10's that we have in stock to move.
But all in all, it's a great time to get either car. As the 10's still have a lot of great points that make them attractive.
This is going to be the first car that is assembled at the Chatanooga plant, and we have yet to see the details surrounding that.

hey vangruver i have a question, is it normal at vw, that if one wishes to take a test drive a conditional sale must be done on the car first?? my brother was looking at getting an '10 golf but the salesman wouldnt let him take it for a test drive unless he did a conditional sale and was approved for financing.
and yeah back on topic lol it does look audi influenced i do like the fact though that it had the golf front end haha much better in my opinion, will be interesting to see when they hit the roads, id really like to drive one of those new TDI's seeing as they have double the valves ours do they should be able to breath waaaaaay easier

This seems insane to me. Might want to locate another dealer. I test drove a 2010 gti before buying my wrx and there was no such conditional sales bs of course things could be different up north.

I think you should tell that dealer to shove it. I took a tdi out for a test drive by myself for a good half hour and didn't even leave any ID with the dealer.

We test drove a TDI last year, and this year before buying the Golf City we drove one. Even the other day I stopped buy and they let me out with a GTI and no one came with me...
Our Honda dealer is like that thou. You have to pretty much every except the credit evaluation before test driving an SI...Imagine the sales rep when we got back and said we didnčt like it lol

That pic looks horribly camry-like. How big is the new jetta? And when are we going to get the polo? Ford finally reintroduced the fiesta, is vw afraid they can't compete with the good ford from across the pond not the giant squishy american built crap we're all used to?
