To me that just sounds wrong. If it doesnt actually help its useless.

Did you know the Ford designers programmed in a miss in the 99 Cobras to get then proper exhaust note?? Yea..lame in my opinion..I have a friend that fixed that. He built his engine and had it neutral balanced..now you never know its idling. Now that its properly tuned.

didn't try to do it, its just a side effect of aggressive fueling.

im with ya here, if it aint a lope from a hot rod, or a Jimmy, it s just not right. i would hate to have a fuel lope in a vw.. i already hate my GTI every time i have to drive on the freeway. cams are not fun in first gear at idle...

Somewhere in the fatherland is a very old and mystified Bosch engineer. If he or she is reading this, thankyou for a very nice smooth idling design.  ;D

Whats the point, to make your 68hp engine sound like it has 70hp? Loping can sound cool on big engines, on a tiny 4-banger it just sounds really dumb.

Even radically modified engines shouldn't lope. Those that do show the owner didn't care (or know) about proper tuning, they just wanted to dump a bunch of fuel into the engine.

wow, such strong words.

there really was no point, it is a side effect of another set of mods, and has absolutely no effect on performance, so I didn't bother to spend time trying to eliminate it.

as for acting weird when driving, it goes away with any throttle input, or when the RPM's are above idle, so cruising, etc, is unaffected(unlike a gasser that lopes)
