How much boost are you running without IC?

Over the weekend I finally installed my boost gauge in the car and to my surprise its hitting 11psi.
I had planned to add an IC before long but now Im thinking i need to asap?
Just curious what boost levels people are running without ICs?

Stock is 8-12 PSI so you are still well within safe limits.

Great. I always thought it was more like 7psi.

Shows what I know.

Still want an IC.

I run mine about 15-16 PSI... Still definitely want an intercooler though.

Thanks, yeah the motor has just gone in and so clean as I could get it. Still not "new" clean.
Yeah there is a filter on the turbo.

8 - 9 psi. I have a 2" aluminum loop around the parimeter of my Dodge caravan engine compartment which gives some kind of IC one would think, after I finish the job and have a proper IC, I'll increase the boost and fueling a bit.

I'd be more worried about the lack of timing belt cover........ What'd I see someone say somewhere, "Running your engine without a timing belt cover is like strapping a grenade to it with dental floss instead of a pin"

ive personally never seen an engine die from no timing belt cover.
ive killed an engine from having the air filter pop off.
someone else on the board has murdered their compression from losing an air filter too..

All's it takes is that "Silver B B" as they said in Nam.... I look at it more like going to the red light district in amsterdam w/o protection ;-) At some point you'll get bitten.

I recall running 15psi with no intercooler on my 1.6TD with a T3.
