... for an engine block:
Kinda matches the SouthBend Stage 3 clutch:
New pistons and Integrated Engineering connecting rods:
Freshly decked head... look ma, no prechambers:
Will add more as the build progresses...

That is awesome. I usually don't like red, but that looks very nice.
Finish it up with bavarian silver or satin black with some Blue hoses or black

looks really nice, I have been looking for a TDI for my next project...
Looking good. Is this the one you bought the pump for?
Is that one of Frank's heads?
So, what brand of paint does Vince use for his engines?

Yes to the "it's getting the pump Giles rebuilt"... the one it came with sounded like a meatgrinder digesting a sack of hammers.
No to the "Frank's head"... local machine shop did the decking... I'm doing the lap dance..... er... valve lapping, seals, etc. Gotta have *some* of the fun!
Sweet shade of red... very tractor. I used POR-15 on my block. Basic black, I'd love to have some colour but I'm just too in love with the sweet smooth rock hard drying FRIKKIN STUCK TO MY SKIN... WTF!!! HOW DO I GET THIS DEVIL JUICE OFF MY HANDS!!! Ahem... sorry. Great paint tho, I wear gloves now...
im totally going TDI too on my next car.
I'm hoping to find one of the last german built MK4's perferably a 2 door golf. power nothing. definately ALH and just go footballs to the wall with it. NO2, LPG/LNG, big VNT 22 or something.
Hand lapping the valves with hours of TLC make for real race engines! thats what my old shop teach used to say.
And in my experience oil based paint doesn't come off - ever
your skin has to re-grow.
and vince i have to comment on the
"meatgrinder digesting a sack of hammers"
Baaahahhahahah!
