Battery light coming on?

Well i have not had this car out on the road yet.It has a new battery and the battery light is coming on so what could it be?Thanks for any help

I assume this is after it is running?  Perhaps the alternator is not getting the exititation voltage to start charging?  Have you checked the voltage while it is running?  Should be around 13 to 14 volts.
