more than likely it will, but I am planning on using the Auber tach, as it can be used as a controller for things as well.

the reason i ask is because i already spent the money on a tach way back when i was like 17

it is very possible that it will drive a tach, as tach's are not very fussy about the signal.

I have plans for the auber tach that do not include me watching it all the time to tell engine speed for shifting etc...

I am very confident of my abilities to chose when to shift, but I have some things that I would like to control.
being able to switch things to come on after a certain RPM, etc. is really what I am interested in.

I just want to see how high my engine revs because i've changed the pump so drastically. I don't want to risk going over the top, you know? especially when things get loud and you lose traction at like 40mph in 3rd.
Also its good for setting idle.

most seriously, most because i already bought the tach. I'd be happy with one of those boxes too. especialyl because you could really put numbers to everything.
rpm, distance, fuel consumption, running temps all sorts of stuff.

You could actually set up the Auber tach as a rev limiter... just have it cut power from the fuel shutoff solenoid at a particular RPM.

Biggest problem I see is that cutting fuel instantly hits pretty hard. My solenoid shut off wire broke off once while I was at full throttle, I was actually afraid I had blown something in my engine!

And Eddy, I'm going to be putting an order in through Auber's website for some gauges for myself, so let me know if you're going to buy something from there so we can save on shipping!

Oh wow, I'm not going that crazy. Just boost/egt, planning to mount them under the speaker grill in my dash and have it pop up when I turn the ignition on

like I said, big plans...

I will be using them as gauges, but also to control a myriad of stuff under the hood.

the water/meth sprayer(and perhaps nitrous down the line) will be triggered by RPM and EGT so that it will spray only over a certain temp and only come on over a certain RPM(have not decided on the values yet) and possibly in more than one stage.

other things come to mind, including a boost bypass controlled by lots of things.

also the auber gauges(some of them anyway) will output to a datalogger, so I will be getting one of those as well, so I can plot intake pressure/temp, EGT, oil temp, water temp, RPM, etc...

then I can graph such things before and after mods to see what effect they have.

I can also very accurately measure acceleration(either RPM of the motor, or actual speed) over time, to quantify power gains.

it is a bit much, I admit, but when you decide to toss a supercharger on your car you have to go all out!

I wonder if the Clifford/DEI Diesel RPM Monitoring Module 2 would work, it tywraps on the alternator lead, I bought one for my Clifford alarm install but it works ok off the W terminal
