No i'm looking for one with the later D style ports. I have a 1.9 l na and need more air. I now am running with a 1.6 intake which i welded up to match, but the runners are small so...

pd 130? pd 150 aren't the ports reversable on those?

If you can have one welded..Id get a gasser intake, cut off the flange, and weld on the flange for the 1.9. I might have to do that anyway..when I do I plan on going far enough up to hog out the manifold anyway.

How will you get bent rods? They use intakes a lot like that one on AHU, 1Z, ALH, BEW and a bunch more with no
problems at all. Also by that logic the stock intake would bend rods due to the fact that the first two cylinder will
get better air flow than the rear cylinders. But I'm still tring to figure out how an intake will bend rods thats a new
one on me.

Look up, use your imagination, and think. The air comming into that big cast looking pipe will pressure the 2 cylinders under it better than the outer ones.
Now do you see?
It won't do anything at stock boost levels, but if you go to say 30psi with tons of fuel you may end up with S beam rods

I think the main problem is that the cylinders getting less air will run higher egt's.
If you bend rods that simply says you're running too much boost at to low of rpm, nothing to do with the manifold.

i use the alh intake
if someone could supply some inexpensive PD ones i'd be sooo happy.
they look so gooood.
and i have to pull the whole engine out soon i'd love to make a bit of an upgrade while im at it

I still say on a boosted motor theres no way for and intake to bend rods.
Think of it this way the manifold is under pressure and only one valve can
be truely open at a time. So no matter what all cylinders will get the same
air flow. And I have seen ALH engines run 40+ pounds of boost with no rod
problems. And on an NA motor it will work the same because you can only
have one valve open so it will still flow air to all the cylinders. The only way
to get bent rods would be to let the motor run away and stretch the rods then
they will get bent when they hit the head.

If the air is only traveling when the valve is open you maybe right, but it isn't. I didn't realize this was for an N/A engine and the bent rods would only apply to turbo apps. If the air didn't bais 2 and 3 then there wouldn't have been people bend rods already. There wouldn't be an upgrade of an intake, the intake tubes could all be as big as the port or valve. Bottom line is it has been a problem in engines that boost big and early in the rpm range.
