Boost control problems aren't gonna make the engine not run... so as Andrew says, more details on exactly what you've swapped and exactly what problems you're experiencing would give you a better outcome.

Thanks for the response guy's,deep breath................right then, what i have done is swoped a td (aaz 1995)for a tdi (ahu 1997)so i thought that if i just swoped engine looms sort of plug and play, that i would have a running tdi the only part that i didnt have was the pedal assembly so i used the 020 g/box and clutch assembly from a 8 valve gti,the tdi engine turns over but will not start,i was told that i could have fryed the brain,so pluged a code reader into the old girl and no trouble codes found so don't think i have fryed the brain because  it would not to talk to the code reader is that right??????The plug on the pump has 3 wire's going to it of these 3 wire's i have a supply there while the ign is on,(black yellow trace)now just to add to my confusion if i leave the td clock cluster in i have dim lights on the binicale with the ign on but if i plug the tdi clock cluster in i have two warning light's on (water and oil)when the ign is off when i turn the ign on the glow plug light is strong and bright it goes out and start's to blink
so any pointer's would be a great help for a electronic diesel noob :'(
many thanks jay
