Hi guys...
I have a problem with my car, in that if i give it full throttle, it runs worse / holds back compared to half throttle... the pump is an 11mm conversion....
Is there any chance, that my modifications to the levers for extra travel, is causing the collar to travel to far, and acaully nick some of the start of the injection, causing a retard in timing under full throttle? Or is it impossible to move the collar far enough for this to happen, it just builds massive boost, but feels to be holding back alot... i have a lift pump in the tank also, but with an inlet - outlet one way bypass in the engine bay to prevent it pressurizing the inlet side of the pump...

just so that he knows the inj pump has a fuel supply at all times. i would have pressurized it tho.
Well i didnt think the pump would like having its inlet pressurized, was led to belive it causes all kinds of problems with the dynamic advance...ill try removing my bypass and see if it makes any difference.....
Yeh it sounds totally different, makes a growling noise, kinda missfiring, but not exactly, its odd...
Don't know what your driving but both my Caddy and Volvo 245 have similar issues. Both have been put into service recently after long periods of inactivity. In short they both have rust issues in the fuel tanks. The filters clog after 4 or 5 thousand miles and they suck air. At full throttle with a partially clogged filter at higher RPMs the pump govenors do their thing and lean fuel delivery and the engine cuts out or looses power depending on how dirty the filter is. (That may be why you have more power at half throttle). At this point I blow out the feed lines, or change the filter or both, and all is well again. Bottom line is always change that filter when your having fueling problems, but Im sure you already thought of that.
