83 or 84 golf what engine is this?pics inside

i bought this golf and i am not sure which engine it has. it is turbo diesel, i am not sure if eco or not.  The pump just looks different from pics i have seen of the pump with fuel enrichment.  The spaceship thing doesnt look the same. heres some pics.

nope, although the boost pin in it is not as good as the 1.6TD one.

if you can find a 1.6 boost pin, it is a nearly drop in upgrade, and will help alot.

so where do you find these boost pins. i dont have any scrap yards around here.  does anybody have one they dont need? are they expensive?

god it seems like everything gets rusty in canada. everyone around here ***es because were right on the ocean. but not one of my engines has ever been that dirty. what do they do up there, use a dump truck load of salt per mile of road or something?

Yea I saw those valve cover bolts and had to look at the thread title again. I thought this guy got a rabbit someone swapped an 1.9td into.
