I bought a 1.6TD engine from a dismantler a few days back. The code is MF so it is suppose to have either a T3 or a K-24 but this one has an unusual turbo on it and the data plate is missing.
I am attaching some pictures please have a look and let me know if anyone is familiar with this turbo.

It looks original from the looks so I doubt that it is from some other engine.

probably, but it could be OEM you'd have to do a search by the engine serial number to see if it was a factory install.

It could be OEM if that engine was an Eco-Dieel, but the normal 1.6TD came with a K24.

So is K24 or T3 better than k14?

Yes, and it isn't.
I never said it was. What is your problem anyway?

So is K24 or T3 better than k14?
depends on what you want, fast spooling with a "low" (relative

) pressure (K14) or slower spooling but more possible pressure (K24)

well its not an eco diesel cuz it has an MF code and it has proper boost enrichment unit on top of the pump.
So if K 14 never came with the MF engine it is probably a swap. Which engine came with this type of wastegate?

The manifold flange looks odd. Almost like they had to drill new holes?
