never had a problem with lots of sales under the belt.  but then there is this guy.  a member here bought the wheel that night (thanks mtn bob :))  never got anything like this in a pm before.  the mans name is xxxxxx

(10:09 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXX: I saw your momo wheel for sale.  I sugjest you take some simple green and clean all that black crap off and then toss a touch of armor all on it to shine it up. I bet you it will sell a lot faster that way.
(10:11 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXXXX: I usually don't respond to idiots like you, but its actually
RUB like i put in the ad.  get a frikkin clue pal.  the red is worn and the black is showing.
(10:15 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXXX: Well ****ing pardon me.!
(10:20 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXXX: sorry (for you being an idiot)
(10:33 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXX: Sorry your selling a worn out chunk of momo crap.  That looks like some one has spent the last couple years with it up his ass cheeks.  No self respecting VW guy would have that chunk of worn out dung in his ride.  best of luck selling it though.  You little *****!
(10:37 PM 3-24-2010) XXXXXXX: wow, you must be super tired after beating all that sand.  you might need a nappy

i got a little jumpy at first, but dang, really?  any other folks get stuff like this selling stuff? pics for fun

wasn't the bees knees.  but I liked it

honest opinion here: you didn't need to respond in that manner, or at all for that matter. Ya the dude didn't need to send you a pm about it, but you took it far out of context.

I didn't think the rub was that bad. If I didnt have the mk2 wheel in the 81, I would definitely rock something like that, rub and all!

Also, excelent mk1 hawtness...

I've sold lots on there too and with great success - I've found that it's not all that uncommon to get pm's or even replies on your post (which wrecks or at least defames your post) to be of the hate mongering type. I put those off to being from immature individuals who because of their anonymity of sitting behind a computer they can become brave or in a twisted point of view believe they are representing everyone else on the tex.

I agree with Kantdrivefast - don't waste your time and even respond.
If you can't take advice - then you can't be helped!

I have nothing against anyone who wants to voice their opinion in any thread that I or anyone else makes.  But when I get pm's like that, it just kinda gets me going.  I'm much more civil on public forums than through im's.   I was a little cranky myself after just getting the little one to bed. :P  later on, the guy admits he'd been drinking for a bit and maybe it wasn't the best time to be posting.   ;D

I kinda gave up on the vortex a while ago ,except for the odd parts eyeballing. There's a lot of people on there who's attitudes need slapping.

I couldn't agree more. This site has about the best community feel of all the forums I graze, the samba is a close second.

As for selling stuff, people being able to post in you ad can be really good or REALLY annoying. It's nice to have someone vouch for you & your stuff in your ad & there's nothing worse than someone talking smack on the parts, condition or price of your stuff for sale. I sold a turbo over on TDIclub with a little help from a regular there who stopped by & saw they were tip top quility.

I found a few things on there locally. And see the "love" some sellers get, let alone the PM's.

At least we try {try being the key word.. :)}  to be adults here, and any crap like deez got can fortunately get them booted.

Nice job, Moderators.

Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy

I bet vince has to remove more foul language than borderline pics.  and c'mon, the last one has ontario plates.  I thought I scored brownie points on that one.   ;D
