Hey yall just a quick question. Will a hydraulic G60 camshaft physically fit in a 1.6td-1.9td hydraulic head?
Peace&Love, Darren
It'll probably fit in the head but the diesel sprocket won't fit on the cam.
not only that, but it won't do you any good when you smack every valve off the pistons.

The cams that are in the engine are pretty ideal for what we need, they leave the valves open to the last possible moment before getting whacked with the piston.. not much to improve on really
There are reground upgrades available (I have one) but the benefit can only really be felt when you have a heavily modified engine. First thing would be to make sure your head flows as much as it can, and that means starting off with a 1.9 head.
I have been toying with the idea of putting larger valves into a 1.6 head(to make it flow more like the 1.9)
I have access to valves and seats that could be put into the head, (need to fight with the company about shipping, but thats another story)
the 1.9 head is hard to get here in the states, but I think I can get a 1.6 to flow lots better with bigger valves and aggressive porting.
what is different about the aftermarket cams, duration? timing? lift?
