Hi guys,

I am looking to get a TDI jetta and im a little lost when it comes to the value. i know vw hold there value and all but would i be better off to get ex a 1998 with 200,000 for around 2500$ or a 2002 with 350,000 for around 5500$?

Im looking for a a good reliable. i dont wana do a motor swap first lol

Get the 98. Some will be sick of me saying this ,but a 98 TDi is possible the best car VW ever built. The later ones have a couple of advanatages, but the early ones, were much better built.

Each version certainly has its charm.

98 was the first gen TDI... If you pick it up make sure your relay 109 is grey and you are good to go.

what is the 109 relay for? and what other colors are there for this relay? Its above the pedels with the fuses?
