Looking for Parts Suppliers for a Rebuild
« on: March 24, 2010, 05:55:53 pm »
I am in the process of a 1.6TD rebuild and am curious what some of the better places are to find quality parts at decent prices. My first need are second over size pistons.

Thanks

I am in Kansas.

Has anyone ordered or know the quality of parts from volkswaparts.com?

Thanks for all the recommendations!

Search here and via Google... particularly on VW Vortex... for "prothe".   ;)

Is there a list of vendors on this site? I searched but did not find.

If not I think there should be a list compiled in the faq- we can have a list of known good and prothe pseudonyms?

I was in Salina once. Stayed at the truck stop for 2 days waiting for frozen pizzas. Lotsa fun.
