Is there no tag on the turbo?  What about markings/numbers?

Could be a k24.

An easy way to tell is the oil return.  If it has a pipe screwed into it before the line, it's k14.  If it has a flanged line held onto the turbo with two bolts it's a K24.

Must be the K14. 15 psi ok to run on this? Think I should be looking for a K24 or T3?

15 psi on a k14 is fine.  At 15 psi, by swapping on a K24 or T3 you'll gain absolutely nothing other than more lag.
Yeah, and this one does spool up fast. Next is a small intercooler.

I was wrong. Its a K24. Is 20 psi too much for stock head bolts?

i run around 25 psi in a 1.5 n/a. completely stock block, just like it came from the factory. it held up to 30 psi pretty good too, but then i ran somewhere in the high 30's one day, and it split the block.

I set it to 20 yesterday. Really cleaned up my exhaust. EGTs seem a bit high. Intercooler toay if I get time. Gotta work on other peoples junk to pay the bills first.

Dennis, what does your boost read at 70mph cruising, and say 60, accelerating upto 70 also on the flat?

Cheers,

70 on the flat I think 3-4 psi at about 750EGT. 60-70 depends on how hard I step on the gas. Maybe up to 15 psi. I will check again tonight though.
