Clifford IntelliStart on a CE2 MK2 GTD
« on: March 15, 2010, 12:56:40 pm »
Anyone done it?

Just got a Clifford Avantgard 4 cheap, had a concept 600 years ago on my old GTD, but it wnt wrong so I changed it to a Toad Ai606 but the siren has died so I got the Avantgard set up this has Black Jax same as my old system and has IntelliStart IV now I'm fairly sure it got a tach signal off the green wire going to my clocks on my old GTD but both manuals say I need a device that clips on the altenator to see RPM signal  ???

Can I just connect it to the tach wire or do I need to get an optional Alternator sensor?

Cheers

since the tach is run from the alternator on the diesel, the wire that drives your GTD clocks is the signal you need
