WTB: IP bracket
« on: March 14, 2010, 03:58:42 pm »
I'm putting a '84 CY motor into my 91 Jetta. The IP bracket on the CY motor has a engine mount on it--the car doesn't. I'd like to keep the outgoing motor complete (and get the ingoing motor as close as I can to ready to install. )
 Anyone have one?

if you're talking about the mk1 motor mount, just cut it off like I did.

 ;D
and this was going into a mk2.  just cut it off, you'll be fine.

I'm putting an '85 ME in my '81 Rabbit so I got all kinds of stuff laying around here..   They only thing I don't have laying free is an MK1 IP bracket..  The one's I have are still on engines, in cars..

I found the bracket, and timing covers..   The plastic covers I have are not spectacular, the upper cover has a piece broken out of it....   Here's some pics..
