« on: March 02, 2010, 02:20:43 pm »
i have a 2000 dodge cummins with a bouncing idle, it is aslo smoking  blue/white. when hot the idle calms down. we have replace the lift pump, and is still doing it. think it might be the main pump now just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem.

Although blue smoke casually means oil consumption,  do you get a check engine light for crank sensor?

no but there is one for pump timing that comes back after the truck gets driven. i am new at these dodges what sensors help control pump timing? Crank, cam or does it just go off the timing??
