4 door Caddy

So I got to thinking, why have I not seen any 4 door caddys? Couldn't be that hard to do, front end of a 4 door rabbit, back end of a caddy, bit of metal, done. Anyways, after googling, I found a pic of one that had been done and I think I answered my own question. Fugly! Messes the proportions way up.
Anyone know of others out there?

Why bother making one when there is already a much better version right out of the factory? And syncro to boot!

There's some cool youtube videos of Dokas bombing around in knee deep snow and mud.

The red one with the small back door doesn't look as out of proportion..

Is that a small back door, or did they just use a hatchback with a back seat? Either way, it seems to be the best proportions, and you get the extra seating.

my uncle and I had plans to marry a two door rabbit and a caddy to make a long door pickup.
but the caddy we found is not worth the bodywork

it is, however, worth driving the hell out of

Always thought the 2 door jetta/rabbit turned into a caddy would be a big improvement. Don't know why they came from the factory with the short door!

i will do this ^ ^ ^
im 6'7", i simply dont fit in normal caddys. not enough head room, or enough cab room to lean the seat back and make head room.

X2, I'm 6'2" and there's no way I could drive a caddy. I looked at one (diesel) to buy a couple years ago and as soon as I got in it I was like nope. I drive my rabbit with the seat back enough that with my head on the headrest I look out the side windows

.
That particular caddy was an incredible piece of junk, the whole engine was black from oil leaks, one of which she said the vacuum pump hold down had come loose allowing the pump to pop out of the hole leaking oil everywere and of course loosing oil pressure (she didn't tell me that part though). I couldn't look into the coolant tank because of the plume of smoke/steam shooting out

, and when I left there I had to drive behind it a little bit and seriously couldn't see past my hood due to the white cloud coming out it's tailpipe
