Redneck TDI Intake Manifold Cleaning!

I did it to a couple intakes works good. Gotta watch the temp of the manifold though.

someone i know had an old a/c bug, and the heat riser would always get coked up, and the only way we ever got it clean was start heating the heat riser tube FROM THE OUTSIDE to cherry red with an oxy torch, then once you have a spot glowing that has plenty of coke to burn inside the manifold, you cut the gas to the torch and just leave the oxy running. run it THROUGH the heat riser. eventually, the cherry red section of the manifold starts moving towards the other side. and once its done, its clean.

it was kinda cool tho, seeing all the flaming particles of soot flying out of the intake on that video.

Used to decoke two-stroke expansion chambers the same way   8)
