Aaz transmission clutch lever

I just recently bought an aaz transmission to replace the mk2 transmission I'd been using with my aaz. I noticed that on the clutch arm there's what looks like a weight where my other mk2 transmission has nothing. What is this for and should I leave it on or take it off?
