Timing Kit
« on: February 15, 2010, 05:57:20 am »
So I bought this timing kit a while ago and have used it with no problems, but what I can't figure out is what is the allen head bolt for??

If you can't take advice - then you can't be helped!

It's for advertising purposes. Most people that buy that kit end up posting about the great price and high quality but "what's the bolt for?"

Advertising.

Its obviously to replace the bolt that you dropped into the lower timing cover, but had hoped that fell on the floor, and rolled off into oblivion. Thats why they only give you one ;)

'Taint that the bolt that pops up out of no-ware and messes up the Timimg Belt, and then warps back into the timing kit?

Or is it the one that "You Know" you should have used, but didn't?
