do you have to swap the core support to accept the round lights?

That's about it. The round lights usually use the euro bulbs so you will need to change the wiring connectors as well.

my headlight wiring is far from stock anyway, so another mod would be nothing. i relay'd my high and low beams. they got twice as bright now that they pull juice from the battery instead of the switch. the side of the dash stays cold now too.

I believe I found a single round grill     Anybody have a set of round headlights out of a rabbit   I have a extra core support that I plan to modify for the round headlights

I have a round 4 light, MK2 Grill with inner driving lights.  I don't have the round outer lights to go with them, but it comes with the 2 inner driving lights.  I have another 4 light grill, without any lights.  If you are interested I can take photos if you want or answer any more questions.

You can buy the lights on flea bay cheap. If you find genuine 7" rounds snap them up. I'm just grabbing the backing plates for the bulbs if I can. I have a real set of 7" round projector housings.
