its not the color I wanted, but....
« on: February 10, 2010, 04:22:42 pm »
just picked up this little guy.  straight from tweakerland oregon.  before you start fram flamin, no timing belt cover, lower it'n, this are pics of it as i arrived home.  she needs a couple things, but all in time.

quiz time for the diesel kiddies.  what are we missing here?

looks like a new(er) head and the block as been repainted....

two bad dingeys (yeah, gonna learn body work finally  )

right rear arch

The pump definitely either has the max rpm setting way or up has a governor mod or the fuel screw is out too far, because this thing was running very unlike my other car, which has never really been touched.  never saw black smoke behind my car until today.   :P  though it was hilarious going up a big pass on the 110 mile trip home, and realized I was smoking everyone out.   ;D
the car is in dire need of a good scrub down, but such a great start.  I think after about ten or so mk1's, I'm ready to actually start making at least ONE nice one.....

Leave it stock height, and the colour's nice. :D

If you need a timing belt cover, I have them coming out of my ears; you can have one for whatever the cost of sending it to you is. :D
