WANTED: Complete 1.6 IDI TD, SB or MF code engine

The time has come (almost) to start removing the old engine from my 4WD Tercel, i am almost done with the bodywork. and im ready to start shopping for the VW diesel engine i have decided on. the goal is to install the VW 1.6 TD into the toyota tercel 4wd wagon.

I am looking for a complete, 1.6 TD  SB/MF-code engine in good condition. dont particularly care how much life is in the turbo unit itself, as i have been eyeing one on ebay thats new and larger that i may get eventually. Ideally i guess id like to buy a complete wrecked/rusted car that has this particular engine in it so i can pick thru it at my leisure and have any other parts i may need on hand for the conversion...

I also would like to get ahold of a duplicate block, head and oil pan to use for sizing things up when i work out the patterns for fabricating adapter plates and custom engine mounts etc...these parts can be completely ruined, all i need them for is so i have somthing to hold in place to get the adapter plate made without messing with the actual engine i plan to use...

I am located in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, and would like to deal locally (within 100 miles or so)if possible, but will consider anything far and wide.

I'm not sure, but I think you'll find that that engine was a europe only version. YOu'll find lots of mf code engines, maybe a few AAZ engines (more of both north of the border)

I was somewhat afraid of that...but it looks like the only difference between the 2 is the MF ones didnt have an intercooler...is that right?  so it looks like an MF series would work just as well...iv done most of the research for this on wikipedia so idk how many details are missing from the articles...

there really isnt a "better" 1.6 td engine, they are all pretty much the same. mines a 1.5, but it has an intercooler, and a VNT turbo, neither of witch came factory, so there again. sky is the limit...
