MK1 Square to round headlight question.

Will single early round headlights, and grill fit in an 80 square headlight Caddy without a core support swap??
1980 Caddy TD (Always in progress)
1983 Volvo 245 D24 NA Building D24T
1980 Air-cooled Westy
1956 F100 (What to do???))

not exactly, the buckets for round lights are set wider than square lights, so you may have to do some trimming/drilling to get the rounds to sit right in the grill.

Thanks. I guess I just need a doner. Got a warm shop and all the neccescary implements of destruction. Just don't want to kill the paint.

Get a clean core support from rabbitparts.com, than some crosshairs headlights like mine...

Euro front bumper, that a roll pan from the dude in the southeast ( 200.00 )

Except you need the correct fenders to pull this look off. With square fenders you will have a gap where the old marker light went.

Correct , turnsignals in the Bumper , I did clear lens with a yellow bulb on mine

I have a Complete South African Citi front End on my caddy

Core support, Bumper,grill , Fenders

Not on an 80.

Thats a westmoreland setup... so you would be correct on that!

But your still going to need to put in a new core support.

Why don't you just post pics on here?
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
