Well, all this over again!!!!! Car does not start, replace relay and checked the fuse. all good, car turns over fine. We had car going in the moring and was driving it around fine, came home, let it sit for 4 hours or so, and now does not wanna start, any ideas???
I assume you've checked to see if the stop solenoid is picking up, if not,
step one: take jumper lead from positive terminal to stop solenoid terminal, (click = working solenoid)
step two: turn key to on position, repeat step one (click = ignition switch circuit not working)
I assume you didn't obliterate what compression you had, by beating the everliving piss out of the engine.
test glow plugs?
take a DC ammeter, and place your + lead to positive on battery, and - or ground (however your meter is setup) to glow plug bus bar. warning: some meters have multiple load settings, make sure this is set to the smallest setting OVER 50 AMPS
Your meter will complete the circuit, bypassing the relay, fuses, and wiring.
I don't recall glow plug current values independently, but I believe they are approx 12-15 amps each. so a reading below 50-60 amps would indicate at least one GP is bad. bad GP = hard starting.
Click does not always mean the solenoid is work, just means it's getting power. I had one fail this summer, clicked fine, did not open.

Pull the return fuel line at the IP and put it in a small container, crank it a bit and see if you are getting fuel through the IP. But, I'd do that after checking the GP. Did you pimp them ? First thing for anyone of these engines is to pimp your Glow Plugs ;-)
The pump will still push fuel out the return even if the stop solenoid is not working.
I'd recommend a voltage drop test.
Another thing I also try is to suck fuel through the pump to prime it. Tiny fuel air leaks will make it difficult to start if it sits for a few hours. You can quickly prime the pump by using an outboard marine motor hand pump or Pela-type oil extractor pump and drawing fuel through the return line between the fuel filter and the injection pump into a container until the bubbling stops.. Replace line and start.
Idk wat happened but i fully charged the battery and the car fired up? but as i drove it 20km ish it came out with a temp of 95
