I have too many projects and not enough time, and I also need the money to cover go fast parts for my build. The car comes with everything. the engine is going to need a rebuild, but I have the block bored and acid tanked, and is decked, and the head is perfect, the car is set up to be 12v converted as well as the oem generator, that I had sent off and professionally redone. The car will need to be picked up, or I can ship it at the buyers exspense. Now for the pictures. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. You can call 661 816 2150 Kevin. Everything is a bit dusty, and I apologize for that, but seriously I have 54' model year paint for this car, the plates and sooo much more. Obviously there is a long way to go on this car, but I picked a straight bodied car, and that will make the rebuild process a lot easier. There are a couple of broken windows, and some other things but this is a typical high desert socal car the desert is like a tomb for these old cars. I am really looking to get about 3k for it, but will work with you on the price. These are great cars, I mean, Jonny Cash had one. I know that this is a vw diesel site but I am really trying to sell this and I have put this up elsewhere as well. I also have a 01' spyder project car for sale and you will probably see that up here too. Low ball offers may be entertained as I have to leave for Afghanistan in Oct. for seven months and I can't afford to put this into storage, and won't have the time to work on it. I just found out about the deployment and I don't have many options. I have to send my wife to Okinawa for that time and my end of active service is in sept 2011 after I get back and I'm not sure if I will reenlist. Also looking for a good paying job from a former Marine electronics repairer

just in case you know.
thanks,
Kevin

That thing is just crying out for a Cummins TD in it
Realistically, you could shave the head and deck the block with a modified rotating assy, and an injection pump and convert it to be a diesel. Or you could front the cash and get the cummins td. I would have loved to do that, as I am a huge fan of the torque of the inline six engine. I just wish that I had the time to finish this project. Time to pass it on to someone who can really do it, and do it right. Don't be intimidated by the rust, it's just surface on most things.

Kevin
when your working with VWs rust is an afterthought... lol
dagnabbit. I just dumped some coin in my 72 gladiator. I can ask at the classic car club where I live. One of the guys is always itching to drop cash.
Please and thank you

that would be great, I'd love to meet him. you can give him the contact info too.
hows that thing sound with a flowmaster 40 series in the trunk? lol...
Had BIG plans for this thing, wanted to do a POW MIA theme with the car and put vinyl on the hood and trunk as well as a themed interior. I know a good upholsterer here in 29palms that does real old-timer work on old rigs like this.
BUMP! taking offers, I have to sell it, going to Afghan in Oct. Nov. and now have a totaled car to deal with. I have no running cars and too many projects.
