I would suggest the soft cover book "Turbocharging" by Hugh MacInnes published by HP Books out of Tucson would be a good place to start. As I recall, there is a new edition every few years. Don't know if the current editions have anything, but in the 1976 edition, Chapter 15 'Tractor Pulling' the author walks you through sizing the turbos for 2 stage turbocharging. Back in '76, he reported some of the tractor pullers with 2 stage turbos were running charge pressure of 105 psig!!!! Piper106
You need to take a look at the book referenced by Piper106.This link might not let you see the full pages without signing into google, but you will at least be able to get a glimpse at tops of the pages of the multi-seqiential turboed chapter, which indeed covers >200 psi diesel monsters.http://print.google.com/print?hl=en&id=pewyJ3_F4XMC&dq=diesel&prev=http://print.google.com/print%3Fq%3Dvolkswagen%2Bdiesel%26lr%3D%26start%3D20&lpg=PA118&pg=PA117&sig=vVqBPBTAVj4rxXeRgoeuqAiOPMgActually, if you log into google, you'll be able to access the book's entire chapter on multi-staged turbos. I still recommend buying the book anyway, it's that good.
