Fuel Economy and Rebuilt Engine?
« on: November 02, 2005, 06:54:59 am »
I just had my engine rebuilt, and was wondering how this effects fuel economy?  I have read that a new engine burns more then a broken in engine?  Any idea how much? and how long it takes for the engine to reach optimum fuel efficiency?

I am getting pretty good mileage but just curious on the effects of a rebuild on the whole fuel econpomy thing.

Also what should I be looking to be getting in terms of L/100km?  In the 5-6 range?

Thanks
Mike

that's about what i get. you can probably do better than that. i have crap wheel bearings and drive it too hard. 5-6L/100km isn't bad though.  :)
