Running NA 14 injectors in N/A
« on: January 16, 2010, 09:00:49 am »
What is your best guess (or experience) on setting the timing using turbo injectors in an N/A application?
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

The general concensis seems to be to use the timing setting that matches the injector breaking pressure.

So if you use 135bar (NA) injectors use the NA timing settings (0.90-1.00ish)
If you use 150/155bar (turbo) injectors use the turbo timing settings (0.95-1.05ish)

If you (or someone like Giles) has modified the pump to have lots of additional dynamic advance then the NA settings will work well even with 155bar injectors.

Thank you. Sorry if it has been discussed before.
I just bought rebuilt 155's and there is probably going to be a delay getting the turbo engine up and running. I wanted to see if these work in the meantime.
