parts lookup and cost

Hey guys, it's been a while. I sold my 81 1.6 NA "Ugly Betty" and bought a 2001 2.7t allroad... the wife likes the allroad better... I miss the rabbit, go figure.

Anyhow, I'm an automotive technology management major and can look up parts and find out what cost is on parts and stuff. I won't be able to do a bunch of it, i'm taking 15 credits, but if you guys (who aren't in a rush) want to post up some items I can look up parts and tell you how much that parts store is sticking it to ya.

Just thought i'd offer up the services, as infrequent as they may be.

I was trying to buy the little plastic piece for the '84 Rabbit hood latch.
 The part that holds the spring on the that upper centering pin.
 Dealer wanted to sell me a whole latch.
 Is there a part number for just the plastic piece?
