The engine is for my 240 coming out of a 760, but the salvage yard called and said it was crushed. D@mn. Still looking.

Found an 84 740 for $350 local. Been in a field for 5 years but is not locked up. Just gotta get it out of that field so the tow truck can haul it to the shop. Gonna put a front timing belt on it and try to make run before I yank it out.  ;D

always fun to get the old motor runnin to beat the hell out of before you pull it. plus if u can verify it runs.. its easier to sell ;)

Almost a shame to kill the 760, but a Turbo Diesel 245 is cooler.

Didn't do it. Just yanked it out and tore it down.

Ya pre egr everything is less complicated... Wow what a cluster f%*ck that is.  My friends 85 was egr and there was crap and hoses everywhere!

1984 Volvo 760 GLE,  "built" D24T w/ARP studs, MLS head gasket, ported/polished head, 3 angle valve job, NA cam, 56mm T3/T4, NA manifold, FMIC w/ 3" alum piping, 3" turbo back, detailed in CAT yellow. T-5 manual swapped w/ Clutchnet 6-puck.  Best of 16.07@86mph with orig. worn out engine.
