Does anyone have a link to some good photos of changing out a thermostat on a '91 diesel with power steering??? That PS pump is in the way for sure.

yeah remove the power steering pump but make sure to keep the lines attached. There will be 5 bolts you need to remove. 2 are vertical and go into the block parallel to the oil pan, 2 are behind the crank pulley and the other one is below the AC (or alt) and runs horizontal, parallel to the crankshaft.

Once that's removed it's just the 2 bolts for the thermostat housing and you're golden.

If you have a look under the car you should be able to see what I am talking about
