Man, I am sick of winter and all it's related problems. Going down the open road tonight in the '85 N/A Golf....this is one of the few times the heater wasn't exactly running me out of the car.
Yeah, I am a little older now, but, -20F the last two nights is sickening. I have about half the tank with #1.....otherwise, I would be "thumbing" it or gassing it in the CIS.
What are your overnight temps, guys?

We've had a couple nights of -40F quite a bit of -30F, mostly 0F

.
My poor bunny wabbit faithfully fires up every morning with only a few misfires, rock hard shocks, a stiff shifter and stiff steering

, it's a blast!!

We've had -30 to -40C consistently. My poor kidneys are begging for mercy driving over the numerous bumps on rock hard shocks. My existing windshield cracks are expanding at an alarming rate. Makes me wonder how the truck drivers deal with it. I guess they must keep their trucks running 24/7 and have espar heaters going all the time too.

It's only -10C here. My suspension is blown to begin with, so now that it's frozen it's 10 times worse. I do have a stone chip that I need to get repaired. If it cracks I'll have to scrap the car. There is no way to replace the windshield without welding in A LOT of new metal.

Supposed to get the near freezing mark this weekend and for most of next week here.

Might fire up the bus and take it for a cruise.

This is what has been killing me for the last while. It has been thawing and freezing for the last few days. It wreaks havoc on old german cars.

I bought a battery powered heat gun a few years ago.. Nothing more than a glorified hairdryer, but it works quite dandy.. When I don;t leave it INSIDE the car...

it's been pretty solidly about +10C here lately... I think the Olympic organizers are starting to get worried!! Cypress Mountain has had to start closing down some of their runs, including some that are supposed to be venues next month...
We've definitely got some of that global warming going on up here!

I pay attention to the temperature when I come and go, I've seen a few days recently where it's in the 30's early in the morning and 80 by noon. I live a little farther away from the ocean and at a bit more elevation than where GEE-BEE is so the climate is a little more extreme. But, I can't complain, this is absolutely my favorite time of the year here in SoCal.

Saturday, Jan 9 I was bored so I pulled the engine/tranny out of my spare rabbit, (4spd, gonna throw it in my gasser bunny and sell it

) it was -30F when I got done........I was very bored.
Monday it was -51F and my poor bunny just wouldn't do it, the plug-in timer had only come on 2 1/2 hours before so that must be why it wouldn't start........that and the battery is goin' on 4 years old, it now has a heat pad under it to aid in cold starts

.
This evening it warmed back up to -10F
