I'd do that and I would run a ground thick wire directly to the head as well. Had that same issue on my Digifant 2 Ex-Gti, and it worked like a charm. Check all grounds while you're at it.

my jetta with said problem has no engine or wiring in it right now. im getting ready to put my 1.5 into it. its easier than messing with digifant all the time.
i think i will stick to CIS honestly. i like how it doesnt get super picky when you install bigger cams.. it just idles rough, and thats kinda what im lookin for. besides, i only own one gas VW, and who knows how long it will stay gas.
