Gasket-making material?
« on: December 21, 2009, 11:41:14 pm »
Anybody have any leads on where I could find blank gasket sheet to make a custom gasket between turbine outlet and downpipe? I've got a wonky-flanged gt2559v with a 3 bolt turbine outlet that doesn't seem to match any common gaskets. Is it even possible to find blank gasket sheet for this? Since it's typically steel I may just need to find some tin or something.

I'll also need some more common-type material for a custom oil feed/drain fitting. Any advice?

I used 1/4" hose and brass 1/8 pipe fittings for the oil feed line.

For the gasket maybe just make it out of a sheet of aluminum.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
