TDI radio fails

My TDI radio (Mongoose) does not always come on. At first it would come on just pushing the button no key in, then only when it wanted. Rough bumpy rds have no effect either way but it might come on sitting stilll with no warning after trying it a few times. It is a 2002 bought new. Is there a relay that could cause this? Where is it located?
