Pump Triangle Socket
« on: December 17, 2009, 02:01:15 am »
I am looking for the special pump triangle socket so I can disassemble my IP.  I have found one at on the MetalNerd website and the KermiTDI website for about $24.  Will this one work with my stock VE 84 Rabbit IP?  I just didn't know if there were different size triangle bolts because the MetalNerd tool is used on a TDI pump, not a NA pump?
Thank You

I ground 3 flats off a 1/2" 6pt, and it worked great.
I tried a super cheap one(you know the 40 tools for 5 bucks set) first, and it was not up to it.

I took mine off with a chisel and hammer :-X

What triangle bolt? There are 2 on the old pumps, and 2 on the TDI pumps but only 1 of them is the same. I highly doubt that the metalnerd one is the correct one.
